SISGEO was founded in 1993 when the current ownership acquired Società Italiana Strumentazione Geotecnica, SIS Geotecnica. The link to SIS Geotecnica is very important for us as it is one of the reasons of our success. SISGEO built on the tradition and experience of SIS Geotecnica, investing in state of the art equipment and systems to bring us to the leading edge of technology. Our core value is to provide high quality products and outstanding
service to our clients. We have made considerable investments to develop new products and in the tooling used in production, putting us in the position to have a very competitive and complete line of geotechnical instrumentation. Our production department uses top of the line, automated equipment to build and calibrate products of the highest quality and reliability. At the beginning of 2000, we moved into our new, purpose built factory with 1400 mq of laboratories, production facilities and warehouse, and 600 mq of offices. We have the dynamic attitude of a young organization and the traditions
and experience of a long established company. Twentyone of our staff
have diplomas or degrees, with key positions in the Company being held
by long-term experienced employees. The operating structure of the
company is divided into four areas:
Our sales department is staffed with highly experienced staff, capable to support domestic and international sales. Our technical department carries out computer-aided design work, handles purchasing though a network of highly qualified vendors, oversees production, calibration and warehousing. The production department has developed custom equipment for many of the unique challenges we face in manufacturing our products, such as: a system for saturating hydraulic load cells and pressure cells, tooling to assemble rod extensometers and a resin dispensing system for sealing products. Our calibration department uses computerized calibrators to calibrate pressure transducers, displacement transducers, tiltmeters and inclinometer systems. We also have presses for in-house calibration of load cells, a climatic chamber to ensure long term reliability and 5 MPa pressure vessels to ensure that sensors will not leak. Our quality assurance department is highly specialized and experienced in testing out products prior to shipping, to ensure that they meet the requirements of our clients. ![]() |
